More For Moms To Celebrate!
As promised, I’ve come prepared to give you more reasons to put down the dirty laundry and pick up a tall, cool one – lemonade that is! This Wednesday, August 20, is none other than “Lemonade Day” AND “Stay-at-Home with Your Kids Day” (which may not seem like cause for special celebration to those of us who’ve home-schooled children, but I digress). And, a heads up to all those tooth fairies out there because August 22 is your national day (one shrewd mother must have come up with this commemoration as an excuse for another girls, I mean, tooth fairies night out!).
I hope my best friend will be celebrating “Single Parent Family Day” on August 24, and how convenient that “Children’s Day,” “National Dog Day” and “National Cherry Popsicle Day” coincide on August 26! Also noteworthy on August 26: Mother Teresa’s birthday (she’d have been 98). She exemplified what we moms knew all along: Mothers are often also saints! (I know she wasn’t that kind of mother…it was a joke, so don’t write me!)
Personally, I’m looking forward to August 30…It’s “National Toasted Marshmallow Day!” Duh!
