I heart Chicago
So, I’ve always been a New York gal. Lived there very briefly, love the subway and the super hurried pace. My heart just about stops beating when I see 42nd Street and I’ve always said I’d love to live there again one day.
I think my first sign that Chicago and I would get along was the Apple Store right across the street from our hotel. After a couple of days, I realized I could easily navigate the streets. That folks who lived there were much more laid back than in New York. They make eye contact; they smile at you. My kind of town indeed!
There’s pizza, parks and beer around every corner. AND there’s a river snaking through town. AND there’s a beach. AND you can get anywhere you’d ever want to go by walking, taxi or train. I just can’t tell you how floored I am. I simply never knew it was this cool and easy to get to know. I can’t wait to go back.
